Merci Handy, the hand gel that breaks the aseptic mould
An antibacterial hand gel that's both delicious and desirable? They've done it. Louis Marty and Roland Jais-Nielsen, final-year students at Inseec, invented a cleansing hand gel that doesn't dry out hands and smells good too. Encouraged by the positive feedback from their testers, the two friends studied the market, which they judged to be lacking in innovation. They decided to take the plunge: Merci Handy was born in 2014.
Thanks to a bold marketing and communications strategy, success was immediate. The product breaks with the aseptic codes of the medical world: the packaging is glamorous and distributed not in pharmacies but in cosmetics chains. The two founders rely on their community of users to test new products and ask for their opinion on product development or packaging, via their website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
